TIPS & ADVICE
Here are some tips for finding suitable accommodation near or within easy reach of the festival hall in Holborn along with travel advice.
TRAVELBUG @ TANGOFOLLY
Working together with Tangofolly, we are pleased to launch Travelbug, a new community initiative aimed at helping tango travellers connect with local tango hosts in a free, easy and safe way. Everyone is welcome to participate!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
1. Go to our event page on Tangofolly » UK Tango Festival 2017
2. Scroll down to find the Travelbug section. If you are travelling to the Festival in London next year and are looking for accommodation, post a WANTED ad. If you live in London and can offer your home to host tango dancers coming to the event, post a HOST A TRAVELBUG ad. Tag our Festival Event and communicate with other community members via the Tangofolly private messaging system.
We have arranged a very attractive discounted group rate in a very nice hotel called The Club Quarters Lincoln’s Inn. It is very conveniently situated in Lincoln’s Inn, the square where our venue is. Our participants can start booking their rooms now. There are a limited number of reserved rooms on offer. You will need to provide a credit card to guarantee the booking. There are two ways to book:
1) Call Member Services on +44 207 451 5800 and quote the Group Code TANGO1.

WHERE TO STAY?
Zone 1 and 2 are ideal. Further into zone 3 – 5 will be a bit of a trek home.. Alternatively, try to stay somewhere along the Central Line (red) and Picadilly Line (blue)! Both trains run via Holborn where the festival will be held.
BUSES: There are many buses going in all directions from Kingsway (main street) and surrounding streets. All buses are easily within 5-10min walk. Note that not all buses run 24hrs. Use the tools above to find the right bus and it’s bus stop.
UNDERGROUND TUBE TRAIN: The Central Line (red) and Picadilly Line (blue) connect at Holborn Station. The underground station is situated at the top of Kingsway and is 5min walk from the Festival Hall. Tubes run every few minutes or so and 24hrs on Friday and Saturday night. On Sunday night the last train departs at 23:45hrs. If you miss this train you will need to take a night bus or taxi.
Taxis in London can be pricey… If you don’t know about Uber then we would recommend it to you as a cheaper, bookable alternative. There is also the traditional London Taxis that you can hail from the street.
